Cusianagas reports extension of economic relief for its users

Cusianagas S.A. E.S.P. wishes to inform its users that in accordance with Resolution CREG 105 of 2020, the benefit of deferred payment has been extended, and now it covers the invoices of the domiciliary public gas service for the months of April, May and June.

In this regard, we are pleased to recall the economic relief for our users of the public natural gas service, determined by the National Government through the application of Decrees 517 of 2020 and Resolution CREG 059 of 2020: 

Residential users of strata 1 and 2 who are unable to make payment in the month of July of their bill delivered in June, will have their consumption automatically deferred for 36 months as follows: a) The amount corresponding to subsistence consumption (the first 20 m3) with an interest rate of 0% and b) Consumption in excess of subsistence consumption, with an interest rate established by the company in accordance with the regulations in force.

Residential users of strata 3 and 4 who are unable to pay their gas bill in July, delivered in June, will have their total consumption for the month, including the fixed charge, deferred to 24 installments with an interest rate established by the company in accordance with the regulatory provisions in force.

Users of strata 1, 2, 3 and 4 whose consumption has been deferred due to the impossibility of making the payment referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 will have a grace period of 2 months. That is to say that their first installment will be charged in the invoice to be delivered in the month of August. During this grace period, the consumption that exceeds the subsistence consumption, that is to say, the consumption that exceeds the first 20 cubic meters, will be subject to interest at the rate indicated in the previous paragraphs, which will also be deferred to 36 or 24 months, as the case may be.

Once the collection of the deferred installments begins and if the user does not pay them within the terms established by the company, the service will be suspended. 

Residential users of strata 5 and 6, commercial and industrial that are not able to pay their gas bill in July, delivered in June, will have the option to defer their consumption, for this purpose, it will be automatically deferred in 4 installments with a 

interest rate established by the company in accordance with the regulatory provisions in force, in order to facilitate payment, and if the deferred installments are not paid in a timely manner, the company will proceed to suspend the respective service.

However, the users who avail themselves of the deferred payment measure may pay said balance in advance of the defined term, at any time, without the application of penalties or additional costs by the company.

Decree Law 517 of 2020 has established as a solidarity alternative, that residential users of strata 4, 5, 6 and commercial and industrial users voluntarily contribute the value suggested by the company in the invoice, which in this case is five hundred pesos Mcte ($500), which the users mentioned above will have the possibility of including it by contacting our customer service lines and on our website www.cusianagas.com.  These resources will be transferred to the bank account provided by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, entity that will allocate them to provide economic relief in domiciliary fuel gas services to the users they determine.

Additionally, for those users who have not paid in April the invoice delivered in March, this amount will appear as a delinquent value in the invoice to be delivered in June to be paid in July. Therefore, we invite users to make a payment agreement with the company within the remaining days of June.

Likewise, we invite our users who can pay their bill to use the virtual channels provided by the company, such as the AvalPayCenter button found on our website www.cusianagas.com , App Davivienda or through Banco de Bogotá, Baloto points, Almacenes Éxito, and the different collection points of our allies that can be consulted on our website (Supergiros and Efecty).
